Project Scope

A team led by Akridge and Western Development Corp. are in the process of converting the U.S. Coast Guard’s former headquarters into more than 450 residential units over about 80,000 square feet of retail, that includes a large restaurant, The Point, which is owned by Greg Casten who also owns Pro-Fish a seafood wholesale company serving the Washington DC region. As well, Mr. Casten also owns several other restaurants in Washington DC that include Tony and Joe’s Seafood, Nick’s Riverside Grill both located on the Potomac river in Georgetown, as well as Ivy City Smokehouse.

The Optimum Group was retained by Mr. Casten and the The Point to provide kitchen design and foodservice related equipment procurement.
