Restaurant Opening & Training

Project Scope:

These cafés are a division of Candy Express, a retail chain providing confections and other dry goods. The company contracted The Optimum Group to assist them in opening a new chain of quick-service restaurants for franchisees in key locations throughout the country. We provided them opening and operating procedures, training for their entire staff and concept and menu development for all their stores. There have been nine (9) stores as part of the chain.

This is an ongoing assignment; refinements are being made on a constant basis by The Optimum Group to provide all of these services as new stores are brought on line. The franchisor has relied on us to provide the best possible systems to the franchisees to make the concept successful. We invest time ahead of openings to review plans and layouts, estimate staffing requirements and develop the menu for use in a particular store. We then train the staff and inform them of the operating procedures put in place. We cover sanitation, food safety, customer service and systems training for the entire staff prior to opening, with recurrent visits to ensure compliance.
